What Does a Cabin Stay at Polar Tranquil Actually Look Like?
Planning a trip to Lapland can quickly become overwhelming.
There are so many places to stay, so many activities to choose from and so many promises that begin to sound the same: wilderness, northern lights, authenticity, once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
But sometimes, what you need most is not more to do.
Sometimes, you need a place where you can arrive, breathe and let the North become quiet again.
That is what our Cabin Stay is created for.
A private cabin, but not a resort
A Cabin Stay at Polar Tranquil is our more independent way of staying with us.
You have your own private cabin near Levi, surrounded by quiet nature, open skies, forest and family land. The cabins are located next to our own home and Noora’s grandfather’s house, but each cabin is private and has its own rhythm.
This is not a resort or a busy holiday village.
It is also not a remote wilderness cabin without comfort or support.
It is something in between: a quiet, personal base in Lapland where you can rest, cook, go to sauna, step outside, watch the sky and experience the North at your own pace.
What is included in a Cabin Stay?
Each cabin has everything needed for a comfortable independent stay.
Your stay includes:
private cabin
private sauna
private outdoor hot tub
fully equipped kitchenette
linen and towels
breakfast
airport transfers
snowshoes
day backpack
headlamps
thermos and cups
quiet surroundings for walking, resting and northern lights watching
We want the stay to feel simple from the beginning.
You do not need to think about the first breakfast, how to get from the airport, or whether you have small outdoor essentials with you. We have prepared those things so you can settle in more easily.
Your own rhythm
A Cabin Stay is for guests who want privacy and freedom.
You can wake up slowly, make coffee, sit by the window, heat the sauna, cook your own dinner, go for a walk, or simply stay inside and do very little.
There is no pressure to fill the day.
In Lapland, people often arrive with long lists of things they feel they “must” do: huskies, reindeer, snowmobiles, northern lights tours, glass igloos, ice restaurants.
Some of these experiences can be beautiful when chosen carefully.
But we also believe that a trip to Lapland does not need to become a checklist.
A quiet morning can be part of the experience.
A slow sauna can be part of the experience.
Watching snow fall outside the window can be part of the experience.
Stepping outside with a headlamp and hearing nothing for a moment can be part of the experience.
A Cabin Stay gives you space for those moments.
Privacy, but not being completely alone
We live here next to you, so help and local advice are close if needed.
This is an important part of the Polar Tranquil experience. You have your own space, but you are not completely alone in an unfamiliar place.
If you need help understanding the weather, choosing what to do, using the sauna or hot tub, or finding a quieter way to spend the day, we are here for you.
At the same time, we do not interrupt your stay unnecessarily.
The cabin is yours.
The rhythm is yours.
The silence is yours.
What about activities?
A Cabin Stay does not automatically include guided activities, dinners or personal hosting throughout the stay.
That is the difference between our Cabin Stay and our Fully Hosted Stay.
With a Cabin Stay, you stay independently and choose your own rhythm. You can book activities yourself, spend time at the cabin, go to Levi (if you have a rental car), or simply enjoy the surroundings here.
When possible, we can also help with recommendations or arrange additional hosted moments separately - for example a dinner, a guided forest exploration, or support with choosing responsible local activities.
But the base of the Cabin Stay is independence.
It is for guests who want a peaceful place to stay, without needing every part of the day planned for them.
Why a minimum of 3 nights?
Our Cabin Stays have a minimum stay of 3 nights.
We chose this because we believe arrival takes time.
Especially in winter, many guests travel a long way to reach Lapland. The first day is often about finding the place, understanding the surroundings, unpacking, getting used to the outside temperature and slowly realizing that there is no need to rush.
With only one or two nights, it can be difficult to settle.
Three nights gives you more space.
One night to arrive.
One full day to experience the place.
One morning to wake up already knowing where you are.
Longer stays are always welcome, and often even better. The more time you have, the less pressure there is to make every moment perfect.
Who is a Cabin Stay for?
A Cabin Stay at Polar Tranquil may be right for you if you:
want privacy and quiet surroundings
prefer a slower way to experience Lapland
do not want to stay in a busy resort area
like the idea of sauna, snow, nature and simple comfort
want local support nearby, but not full-time hosting
prefer choosing fewer activities with more care
want time to rest, cook, read, walk, watch the sky and simply be
It may not be the right fit if you are looking for a hotel with constant service, nightlife, a packed activity schedule, or someone organizing every hour of your day.
That is completely okay.
Polar Tranquil is not made for every traveller.
It is made for those who feel that Lapland might be experienced more deeply with less noise, fewer plans and more space.
Cabin Stay or Fully Hosted Stay?
The Cabin Stay is the more independent option.
Our Fully Hosted Stay is different. It includes more of our time, planning, meals, hosting and carefully chosen experiences. Fully Hosted Stays are shaped individually and are designed for guests who want a deeper, more personal way to experience the North with us.
But not everyone needs that.
Some guests simply need a quiet cabin, a sauna, breakfast, a dark sky, snowshoes by the door and the reassurance that someone local is nearby.
That is what the Cabin Stay offers.
A quieter way to stay in Lapland
For us, a cabin stay is not only accommodation.
It is the setting for everything else.
The place you return to after being outside.
The place where your body begins to slow down.
The place where you notice the light changing.
The place where you realize that not doing much can also be part of the journey.
Lapland does not have to be rushed.
There is another way to stay here.
A quieter way.
A slower way.
A way with more privacy, care and time.
Welcome to Polar Tranquil.
