You can stay independently and make the cabin your own base in Lapland, or choose a fully hosted stay where we take care of the planning, meals, guiding and everyday details.
Either way, you are staying with us at our home.

Our Location & Surroundings
Polar Tranquil cabins are located in Leppäniemi - on family land beside the Ounasjoki river and surrounded by forest.
We are far enough from the busiest part of Levi to feel peaceful and removed from the rush, yet close enough to reach Levi centre (20 km) or Kittilä Airport easily when needed.
Being here also means less light pollution → darker skies → better chances to enjoy the northern lights right where you are - without needing to head out on a hunt for them!
Each cabin includes its own sauna, outdoor hot tub and everything needed for a slow, comfortable stay.
Over 100 years ago, Noora’s family first settled on this land and built a life here. The land has remained in the family ever since. The cabins were built by her grandpa in 1991 and he still lives here with us today.
If you book dinners with us or choose a Fully Hosted Stay, you will get to enjoy his cookings too! He has worked as a chef his whole life and still loves preparing food for others.
Our meals are mainly vegetarian - many ingredients are grown in our own garden, berries and mushrooms picked from our forest. If you would like to try local flavours, we can also arrange dishes using reindeer, moose or locally sourced fish.
That is an important part of Polar Tranquil. This is not an anonymous row of rental cabins or a purpose-built resort. It is our home. When you stay here, you are not just booking an accommodation - you are being welcomed into a place that has been lived in, cared for and deeply personal to our family for generations.
